Will Department of Agriculture hemp licensees have to apply for a license with TABC?

Yes, prior to the expiration of their existing license. TABC will require that any business seeking a hemp supplier, wholesaler, or retailer license submit a new application with TABC. Any licenses issued by the Department of Agriculture beforehand remain valid through their expiration date. The application will be treated as an initial application, rather than a renewal of an existing license. Legacy licensees are encouraged to submit an application to the TABC at least 30 days prior to the expiration of their current license.
